Playing Card Themed Tieflings

These two are some of my favorite Dungeons and Dragons characters I've done. With the rise in popularity of Tieflings and bards always being a popular character class: I will always adore drawing fantasy performer type characters. With elaborate outfits, the puffy sleeves, and the presence with just a simple pose. That's what I really wanted to convey here and you can see it especially in Lapis's pose and the way her head is tilted up. She's confident and has a strong demeanor, hence the use of the sharper angles in the details on her outfit and diamond symbolism.

Rose on the other hand is a different type of confident. I wanted to convey a sense of grace in her. So I went with using her heart-based symbolism to my advantage. It not only complimented her body type but it also provided a sense of elegance without going into her personality.

This piece was an attempt at writing personality into an image but without using words, a challenge I greatly enjoyed here by using playing cards, colors, and generally just working on this piece.

Honestly. I will forever love the red/blue trope. The colors compliment each other so well and the potential story these two could get up with as a duo. I love it.

This here is Lapis, an older character of mine from last year. I decided to give her a fresher look similar to how I did the Djinn character redesign.

I wanted to stay true to Lapis's namesake. She is named after the precious stone, only makes sense she'd dress accordingly.

It was with the addition of Rose, who was inspired by a mix of a few things but primarily the two-tone outfit design of the Queen of Hearts from Disney's Alice in Wonderland
