Loreley Fayris: Appearances New and Old - Elder Scrolls Online Fanart

I have a lot of Elder Scrolls Art but there is one character I've drawn the most. My own Breton: Loreley Fayris. She was my original character when I started playing the game and as she's grown, I've grown as an artist. As she changes, so will this piece and I for one like coming back to this piece to edit and add new changes as she becomes more of a well-rounded character.

I enjoyed working on this piece for a lot of reasons. One being it really tested my skills when it came to detailing outfits and shading large metallic objects. Metals are always something I have a hard time managing. I either make them too bright or too flashy or they're too dull and can hardly be sold on the metal effect. This piece was a good test of that and was my own take on a mixture of the "Ebonsteel Knight Cuirass" combined with the "Knight of the Circle Cuirass" taking elements from both chestplates and combining them into something that fit Loreley.

This piece was also one of the first where I explored environmental art in detail for the first time, wanting to test my hand at it and go a bit more out of my comfort zone when creating this work.

This piece has had two versions. The snowy hair you see here is the second. We'll get into the first in just a moment!

Here's a closer look at Loreley's head and further detail at her scarring which reaches up her neck as well as the scarring across her eye.

This is the original version of Loreley I did. Her character having black hair with greying hair in the front compared to the bright white it is now.

A closer shot of the character.. and you can see a shading error on part of the crown that I missed when finalizing the piece. Very professional of me truly. (The white hair version is where I fixed this oopsie)
